In this full-time position, as a key employee of the company, you will assist with the daily operations of the business and be given full autonomy to help grow Trip Merchant’s business. You will also assist with leadership coordination and execution of the company sales & marketing functions (as per key roles & responsibilities below).
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
– FIT and group travel bookings (including individual and group air)
– Fulfill private/tailor made travel requests
– Add customers to Clientbase – Organizing CRM
– Attend FAM trips and/or conferences
– Host group trips when necessary
– Provide excellent customer service
– Attend supplier product training
– Selling travel insurance
– Ensuring we have the most up to date supplier offers online and monitoring for accuracy
– Assisting with other website updates
– Create group confirmation agreements
– Assist in new product development
– Assist in developing our Solo Travel Club
– Participate in the development of new project proposals
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
– 5+ years of experience in a senior-level sales and/or management position within the travel industry
– Strong organizational skills
– Proficient at Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Experience in strategic planning and execution
– Knowledge of contracting and negotiating
– Experience in managing and leading a team would be considered an asset
– Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
– Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and ability to work remotely, while still working as part of a team

– Positive attitude
– Strives for continual improvement and has a desire to grow personally and professionally
– Goal oriented
– Ability to adapt and work under high pressure situations
